What To Expect
In this visiting artist workshop, we will be using premixed enamels to paint, airbrush, pen, and silk-screen designs and images onto stained glass, then kiln fire the pieces. No need to be an expert painter; we will be tracing images in class. You will learn and practice these techniques to make a 6×6-inch panel. On the final day, we will copper foil and solder the glass pieces together to make a finished stained-glass panel. Joseph will provide silk-screens for students to use and advice on framing, lighting, art marketing, and residency tips. Techniques learned in all of these workshops can be used in stained glass panels as well as mosaics.

Join us for the Fourth Annual Art for a Cause, our signature charity art auction benefiting the Nampa Family Justice Center.
This highly anticipated evening brings together art, community, and philanthropy in support of an organization doing vital work in our region. The Nampa Family Justice Center provides coordinated services and critical resources for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, stalking, and other forms of interpersonal violence. By housing multiple services under one roof, they offer safety, advocacy, and a path forward for those in crisis. All proceeds from the evening will directly support their work in our community.
The event will feature a large, art-filled silent auction showcasing works from local artists, along with exciting additional prizes. Guests will enjoy a live jazz band, a wine pull game, raffles, heavy appetizers, and an open beer and wine bar.
We created Art for a Cause to celebrate the power of art to bring people together and to make a tangible impact beyond the gallery walls. Each year, this event grows in energy and generosity, and we are honored to partner with an organization making such a meaningful difference.
Head to artforacause.afrogs.org to pre-purchase tickets, preview auction items, and place early bids. Tickets will also be available at the door.
We hope you’ll join us for an evening of art, music, and giving back. We look forward to celebrating with you.
