KIDS LOVE GARDEN CITY
Whether they’re having a blast in the sun at a Boise Hawks game, testing their skills on a climbing wall, or enjoying nature along the river, your kids will find plenty of things to do in Garden City (and you won’t be disappointed, either).
BOISE HAWKS BASEBALL
There’s nothing better in the summer than an evening at a ball game. The Boise Hawks bring up-and-coming talent to the diamond during their Class A short season, and each game is long on action and fun for adults and kids alike. Your children won’t want to miss the on-field between-innings entertainment, the play area, the circle around the bases after the game, and the regular fireworks.
WESTERN IDAHO FAIR
The Western Idaho Fair boasts a summery mix of time-honored fair events (4-H competitions, bake offs, fried indulgences) with intoxicating fun for the whole family (big-name concerts and a hopping fairway). It’s no wonder this is the biggest, most well-attended fair in Idaho!
WESTY’S GARDEN LANES
Since 1959, Westy’s has been the go-to bowling spot in the Treasure Valley. Your kids will love rolling balls down the lanes, but Westy’s really shines for family fun.
ASANA CLIMBING GYM
Kids as young as 6 can get in on the action at this impressive gym, which offers tons of routes for children to conquer. Asana regularly hosts after-school bouldering and rope climbing programs for kids who want to build their skills early. Check their schedule for summer and winter camp options, too, or book a unique birthday party.
POLLINATOR GARDEN
Garden City is Idaho’s first Bee City, U.S.A. — a natural fit for a place with a long history of agriculture and easy access to nature. This free, public pollinator habitat was designed to help educate people about the importance of these essential insects. Kids will love learning about bees and how they can play a part in saving them.
